If Electrifying Your Fleet is a Priority, Partnering With SPURR Should Be Too

According to a recent survey, 87% of California public agencies are actively planning to electrify at least part of their fleet. However, 70% of these agencies lack a clear roadmap to achieve this goal, and 57% identified the time and cost of the procurement process as their biggest challenge after funding. SPURR members, along with California public agencies, can overcome this obstacle by leveraging the procurement process offered by the PAVE Program.

What is the PAVE Program?

SPURR’s Procurement Assistance for Vehicle Electrification (PAVE) Program is designed to assist California school districts, community colleges, public universities, municipalities, special districts, and other public agencies, in planning and procuring EV charging and infrastructure at a fraction of the time and cost compared to traditional routes.

In 2023, SPURR issued an RFP seeking qualified vendors who can provide turnkey installation of electric vehicle (EV) charging and infrastructure to Eligible Entities. The RFP resulted in SMC awards to four winning vendors:
